The initial idea stemmed from Chef Afit’s vision to offer affordable Wagyu steak. Around 2008-2009, Wagyu was not widely known. To indulge in Wagyu, one had to visit upscale hotels or restaurants and spend a minimum of IDR 600-700,000 for a serving of Wagyu steak. This led Chef Afit to conceptualize a way to make Wagyu steak accessible at a more friendly price point.
